About the Founder

Patricia Hymn ECE is a certified early childhood educator, Youth councillor and housing support coordinator who has been working with children for the past 20 years. Initially focusing on the soccer field Patricia learned that the skills leered on the field were easily translated into the development of students to act as agents of change in their communities through service-learning projects.
Who we are

Planet Canada runs a year-round soccer training leagues for both elementary and middle school children. Our aim is to equip our students with the necessary skills they need to become the best they can be at the game of soccer. The skills they learn on the field will give them discipline and the determination that they will take with them throughout there entire lives.

Our Vision

Planet Canada believes that every child regardless of their family income has the opportunity to fully enjoy the joys of childhood through sports arts. We think children no matter their family circumstances are truly empowered to find success and develop into a physically and emotionally healthy young adult. We target our service at minority and newcomers to Canada because we feel that those who are often those with the least amount of rescores and exposure to free and quality after school programming. Often time’s inner-city youth do not have the opportunity to be in quality outdoor programs that provide them with a critical connection to the natural world.
